E-Business Tool Kit - Free online

Last month I attended a launch of an e-business toolkit at the CAP site of the Windsor Public Library.

The kit is aimed at directing new or developing businesses towards appropriate software and/or e-commerce opportunities.

The toolkit was developed by the Sobey School Business Development Centre (in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Community Access Program).

It was a very informative session. But as Councillor Atwater, who also attended, commented many small business owners could have benefitted from this session but most would be unlikely to have free time during daylight hours!

It would be great to offer this session in Kings County as an evening session. I'll be looking into that.

In the meantime, if you wish to visit the site and take advantage of the toolkit. Here the link

Once you are there you can do an assessment of your business' current needs. It could prove to be a very helpful resource for some tech-savvy businesses or businesses that wish to make improvements in that way.

The apps discussed at the seminar are accessible through the toolkit dependent on the needs assessment results they show up as suggestions to check out. Most are not free software and for very small businesses may not be affordable.

Deborah Innes from the CAP-Site in Windsor has just sent along links to apps that are free. Some are entirely free while others allow limited use before a paid subscription.

As always please do not hesitate to be in touch if you want to discuss anything in more detail 902.670.2949.
